Two Piece Induction Vented Seal

Controlled venting built in, so pressure inside the container has somewhere to go.
Two Piece Induction Vented Seal

Overview

What it is, and what it’s for.

Some products release gas or build pressure after they are filled and sealed. With nowhere for that pressure to go, it puts strain on the cap and the seal.

The Two Piece Induction Vented Seal builds controlled venting into a resealable two-piece liner, letting pressure release in a controlled way. Because it is a two-piece construction, the backing wad stays in the cap after opening and reseals the container. It is suited to powders and liquids.

How It Works

How induction sealing works.

Induction sealing is non-contact: the liner is heated through the closure, so the cap stays on while the seal is made.

Read the sealing FAQs
  1. STEP 01

The liner is fitted inside the cap, and the cap is applied to the filled container.

  2. STEP 02

The capped container passes under an induction sealing head, which produces an electromagnetic field.

  3. STEP 03

The field heats the liner's foil layer, melting its sealing layer onto the container rim.

  4. STEP 04

As it cools, the liner bonds to the rim — closing off the opening itself, not just the cap.

Questions

Two Piece Vented Seal FAQs.

View all FAQs
Why would a seal need a vent?

Some products release gas or build pressure after they are sealed. Without a way for it to escape, that pressure strains the cap and seal. A vented seal lets it release in a controlled way.

Is a vented seal still resealable?

Yes. It is a two-piece construction, so the backing wad stays in the cap after opening and reseals the container.

How do I know if my product needs venting?

If your product is known to release gas or build pressure in storage, it is worth considering. Tell us about the product and container, and we will advise whether a vented seal is needed.
